Today, June 2nd, The House of Representatives introduced legislation to investigate and uncover the systemic problem of National Guard Servicemembers and their families losing TRICARE coverage during deployments. Multiple instances in several states over the last four years have prompted us to partner with Congressional leaders to question the National Guard Bureau and the Department of Defense on the nature of these lapses in coverage, which have caused National Guard families to go without needed medication and treatment, and have placed National Guard Servicemembers on the frontlines without any health coverage. We are proud to support the Protecting Our Servicemembers Care Act of 2020, and believe this bipartisan legislation will protect our Servicemembers and their families as they deploy for our freedom.
