On October 27th, we had the opportunity to provide public comment to the Department of Education regarding the 90/10 Rule. We restated key findings from our research published earlier this year, reminding the Department that including Military and Veteran benefits into the rule would have disastrous results for Veteran and Military students currently enrolled in programs that are out-performing their peers, regardless of sector. To say this another way, changing the 90/10 Rule would not only severely limit the ability for Veterans and Servicemembers to choose amongst a variety of good programs, but could force these Veterans and Servicemembers into lower-performing institutions that are exempt from the 90/10 rule.
