The Veterans Education Project (VEP) is proud to support the Jumpstart Our Businesses by Supporting Students (JOBS) Act of 2025 (S.383), introduced by Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA). This bipartisan bill would expand Pell Grant eligibility to include high-quality, short-term training programs, thereby helping veterans and other non-traditional students to access the credentials they need to secure in-demand, good-paying jobs.
Right now, federal financial aid like Pell Grants is limited to longer academic programs. But for many veterans, that model doesn’t match their goals. The JOBS Act helps close that gap by covering shorter, career-focused programs that align directly with workforce needs.
This is a win for veterans, a win for employers, and a win for the economy.
