We’re traveling across the country to chat with Student Veterans and understand their experiences with transitioning out of the military and into higher education. Veterans bring a lot to the table when it comes to the classroom and we’re interested in hearing and telling stories of their experience transitioning into civilian life, using the education benefits they’ve earned through their service and what it’s like being a student with Military experience. Here’s what Nate had to say about how the the unique experience of Veterans impacts the classroom:
“Imagine someone who’s worked 4 or 6 years straight, just having to get out bed every morning and go to work at 8, 6, 5 in the morning, that rigorous schedule, having that experience really brings a lot to the table.” Nate Black
We’re working with the Department of Veterans Affairs and institutions of higher education all over the country to make the transition to civilian life in higher education easier for Student Veterans like Nate. Learn more about the work we do to support Veterans! Photo by Gregory Ferko Photography.
