We had previously written about how California was considering passing legislation that could seriously restrict how Veterans could use their benefits. We traveled to California to meet face to face with many of the representatives who were considering the policies to share our concerns and explain just how much these well-intentioned policies would actually hurt our Servicemembers.
We’re happy to announce that our voice was heard and the California State legislature has decided to not consider these policies! We want to thank the efforts of our staff and our local members of the Guard who all put in time and effort to make sure the concerns of Veterans were heard. We also want to thank the many Representatives who were willing to meet and listen and ultimately agreed to not take up these bills.
