There are approximately 10 million unfilled jobs and more than six million unemployed individuals across the country. We support the bi-partisan Workforce Pell Act because it aligns education opportunities with the pressing needs of the workforce, providing avenues for students and workers to gain necessary skills to fill high-demand vacant positions. Not only does this critical legislation benefit individuals seeking to enhance their employability, but it also contributes to the overall economic growth of our nation.
